Leo and Nadia, who have become good friends through our adoption of Valera (from Russia), had received a poem that I wrote at Christmas. One day when I came to their house to take care of some paperwork for the adoption, God answered my prayer. Leo asked me to write poetry for the Fantasies to Faith Christmas cards. I was thinking so intently about the adoption paperwork that I did not realize God had answered my prayer until I was driving home. I was so excited when I realized it, that I took the wrong road home, and an extra 45 minutes!

Well, God used that extra time to bless me with words to glorify Him. I knew that if this was indeed His answer to my prayer that He would give me the words and He did as I reflected on the artwork that I had seen from the winners of the contest. What a blessing to see how the orphans in Russia are learning about the true meaning of Christmas! Through this contest they can find hope and realize that there is no greater joy than the joy found in Jesus.

I pray that as these cards are looked upon and read, God will touch hearts for Him.
