Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ!

You will never know this side of Heaven what an incredible difference you are making in your sponsored child’s life. Through your commitment you are giving hope, a sense of dignity, and security to a child who may never have known this before.

This past summer, with the combined gifts of our wonderful sponsors and the Restored Ministry of First Baptist Church Woodstock, TEAR was able to purchase 200 brand new mattresses for Shuia #1. The old ones were 10 years old and the boys and girls were so excited about receiving such a wonderful gift.

The Minister of Education for the Ivanovo Region sent a letter addressed to “Leo and American Friends”, thanking them for specific work that was completed in several orphanages, including the Shuia #1 orphanage. Also Shuia’s Director, Vladimir, sent a thank you letter expressing his gratitude for the mattresses, laundry room, and for improving the living conditions for the children.

It is truly amazing that God is allowing us to be a part of reaching the world for Him! By providing for a child’s basic needs you are giving them hope for the future. God promises us in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” I believe God is using you to do that in your sponsor child’s life!

So, two things happen as a result of your gifts; “--those in need are helped, and they overflow with thanks to God.” 2 Cor. 9:12 LB

As we reach out to these children to share the love of Jesus Christ, we are also reminded that God has a plan for all of us.
