Often times in the coldness of winter when all is still and silent, God will open the greatest opportunities for His Gospel to come alive in the hearts of His cherished children.

As TEAR is always eager to make the most of these wonderful opportunities, what better time than the “Season” of His birthday, Christmas; and the “symbol” of the Christmas Tree.  While common place for us here to enjoy this every year, it is not so common place in the lives of the Russian orphans.

Many times Christmas passes and they have no tree at all, or if they do, it is a very small one from the forest that someone has donated and is sparingly decorated.

Through the faithful giving of many of you, TEAR was able to ‘grasp the moment’ and use it for the Glory of God in the lives of some less fortunate.

One Christmas TEAR donated the money and through our local Russian Missionaries, Stas and Luda, we purchased a large artificial Christmas Tree and lots of wonderful ornaments.  This gift afforded Stas and Luda, along with many of the youth from the local Russian church to go in and share gifts and candies that they had gathered over the course of the year.  Along with the visits they were able to share the Gospel many times.

Only our Lord knows how many “seeds” were planted and will continue to be encouraged and cultivated as each year they uncrate and put up your “gift of love.”
